The Other: The Linotype Legacy explores the human emotions of hatred, love, loyalty, and rejection, all while taking us on a thrilling ride to find a terrorist and those who are set on killing the innocent. Wolf has a love for New York and her people and it shows in the descriptive picture he gives us of the city that never sleeps. Great read.
I loved this book! I kept telling Michael that the Linotype needed a sequel and was so excited when I saw that it was finally completed! I was riveted and had difficulty putting the book down for very long. The characters were perfectly developed and since I am visual I was able to picture everyone with such clarity. I love how the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim religions were explained so well within their cultural context. As a Messinaic Jew I was thrilled when Naomi had a vision of Yeshua. My father had a vision of Yeshua on his death bed and the description of Naomi's visitation from Yeshua made my father's vision come to life as I was never able to speak to him about it. Michael Wolf has written a wonderful sequel to the Linotype Operator that is full of intrigue with dips and turns in every chapter. The characters are very colorful with their life challenges. The story was very compelling with the closeness of the family and their friendships through the good times as well as bad times. Love, hate, crime and terrorism kept me longing to know what was going to happen next. Excellent!
