I really enjoyed the Luck of the Irish. The characters are interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written with a happily ever after. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.

He's pretty serene when he catches Darla full on making out with another man at O'Hanley's pub.Scarlet O'Hanley owns the pub and witnessed Darla dissing him and offers him a job as a bouncer on the evenings and weekends, since he was so chill handling the very public breakup.Parker wants to get married and to have a family. He wanted those things with Darla, but well, that didn't work out. Is a much better match with Scarlet in his future?Recommend.I voluntarily reviewed this book.
But I need a strong Hero too! I enjoyed how sweet and even tempered Parker was, but the way he was being snookered by his girlfriend Darla, who really had very little going for her, had me questioning his manhood.Scarlett was strong and direct. A bit prideful, but full of heart. She saw how Darla was behaving in her bar, and I was relieved that Parker caught her in the act of betrayal.His brother Blain always looking out for Parker, made a mistake with Parker, but readily stepped in to correct his mistakeI voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Wow! Talk about bringing it. Lexy brought magic with this little guy that leaves you reeling and wanting more. She can spin it with a realism it's breathtaking. She pours it on when she created this amazing storyline with such an engaging plot. The personalities are well matched and brought together smoothly. The scenes are so graphically detailed it paints an incredible backdrop that feels so realistic it's like you're right there with them. Throw in some twists and turn and a few bumps and bruises as you watch the world light up. Amazing job Lexy, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advanced Reader Copy of this story.
Parker is a gentle giant who has his emotions in check even when he finds out his girlfriend is cheating on him, and that ended up with him meeting Scarlet, when his break up is broadcasted in her bar. Scarlet is amazed at the man and offers him a job as a bouncer, he’s huge but calm and she needs that to deter fights in her bar. As they get to know each other, she can’t resist wanting him and he’s already there with her. Then lines are crossed and words are said...will they get back to where they were.A great read with steam and a man who is on every woman’s wish list, kind, gentle, generous, nice, a good guy and hot. Scarlet got on my nerves a few times, being too stubborn which hurt them a few times but I understood why. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because her past was not revealed, what happened to her parents and her grandmother, we know what happened with Parker’s but hers was never revealed and left a gap for me. Otherwise it was a great read with a number 1 book boyfriend with Parker.*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This is my first read by this author, and let me just say that I am pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the storyline, the characters and the author's writing style. It is a holiday romance between bar owner Scarlet and construction worker Parker. Their strong attraction is undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. Quite well written and sexy, it is a heartwarming love story with enough intrigue and sweetness, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Overall, it is a solid read with heart, heat and a happy ending.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This story contains well-developed characters and believable scenery and interactions. Parker believes in love and commitment he's looking for a family of his own his brother does not believe in this and is constantly berating him for his feelings. Parker's current girlfriend Darla isn't a good fit for him but because he believes and love he'll take her tempered attitude. I think Scarlett and Parker are a better fit. Scarlet owns O'Hanlys Pub where she witnesses the breakup of Parker and Darla, because Darla is caught making out with another man. Scarlett sees how Parker handled the situation a public breakup if you will, and offers him a part-time job as a bouncer. Parker's brother comes off as a douche throughout the book but in the end he redeems himself, while Parker is working for Scarlett he see something in her that he likes and he feels she needs him so he does his best to break down her barriers. Scarlett is a self-assured independent woman and believes she does not need love Parker is going to prove her wrong.
Love a great love story and this is exactly what this is. Scarlett is a tough woman that doesn't like relying on anyone and Parker is someone who loved to take care of people. Reading their story and how they navigate around each other is fantastic. Absolutely recommend!!!I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
