Simply the best and informative book on RF,s and equipment I have ran into. Prior to reading the easily understandable book I knew nothing about the topic, however, now I am confident I can set up the correct system in any situation. I recommend this book for those who wish to truly understand how radio waves travel and the type of equipment required to a successfull connection. A keeper for the library!

This book is excellent. Complete focus on outdoor wireless networks. Primary focus is 802.11-based bridging and outdoor end-user-to-AP connectivity, but information, advice and site survey content is absolutely applicable to WiMax-based networks as well. If you want to learn anything about outdoor wireless bridging site readiness and design, this book is a solid reference. Solid editing job as well with very little fluff. Highly recommended.

the things I have learned from this book are amazing. I am just a beginner but the book has material on everything you need to know, information on how radio waves work, antenna design, etc! I look at the world a whole new way now, i.e. every time I see an antenna tower or dish. If you are working with wireless, get this book!

Overall this book is good and has the good fundamentals needed for Installing a WiSP and info and technical info. I did not realized the book had some older technology that is now replaced. But overall a good book and the fundamentals and info needed is worth it.Also written well and very easy to read and understand if you are in this IT field..

A good intro read. Could go a bit deeper.

This is a good introductory book on how to build and operate a WISP. It's written from a practical, hands-on perspective which is refreshing. WISP technology has moved on since this book was written and it would benefit from an update. However that does not really detract from the solid fundamentals that the book aims to explain.

Maybe just a tad bit too technical for a neewbie like me. Lots of great info.

This book is a very good reference and starting point to examine the Wireless ISP business. The only problem I have with this book is that it is outdated. I knew that before I bought it. I recommend this book and it is easy to follow along.
