If you already have a background in programming, this book will provide the clues and ample examples to get you started in VBA. It includes examples of a wide variety of syntax, and the examples are mostly correct and capable of being executed. Where there are errors, a person with some background will see and correct them. Good value if you need a jump-start.
Was hard for me to follow, left a lot on the table, especially in pivot table functions. Not a great resource for quick lookups, only for detailed learning. Google does a lot better for most of my learning.
I write VBA, SQL, C++, MySql and others. This is an exellent reference.
Buy it and you won't regretBest book of VBA I ever had. Very detailed and simple explanation how VBA actually works
Very good introduction to the topic, covers lots of topics but some topics not covered as much as in some of the bigger books.
Really thankful my boss bought it for me. It's a critical resource.
This book is well written as much as a book on how to do excel can do. The author does the best he can to cover generalities as excel can be coded in multiple ways. There is no clear cut way to do it (example: different loops can be used to do the same thing). I learned a lot by reading the book but you have to actually do it to learn it. I dont refer to the book when I want to know how to do something. I google it or look up tutorials on youtube for free. The book is a good start but now I just reference online options.
Excellent. Has enough basic level stuff to gradually build up to feed you red meat...From a writer who appears to have gone through the school of hard knocks in VBA. Plenty of real-world tips and tricks.Thanks!
