Seems good so far. Didn't cost much, relative. Needs to put the odd answers in the back of the book, so we don't have to track them down. Once you find the answers file it seems as though it is only one page, but they are all there. Save the file then close and reopen. Not sure how I did it, but they came up the next day.
this is a good book, but it has one major and, for me, unforgivable flaw: the author of this textbook provides NO answers to any of the problems in the book. They send you to a bad link with answers to the first chapter only. If you have any intentions of practicing the concepts in this book, you will have no way of checking your answers. They could have printed the 5 extra pages for selected answers and it would have been fine.
Great textbook. Very easy to read and reference; straightforward solid mechanics.
Overall, I am very satisfied, and rightfully so. I purchased a "New" book for 70 dollars, whereas my university bookstore offered a looseleaf version for about 100 dollars.
My school used this book for our solid mechanic course.It's decent, and the examples does the job in exposing you to the concepts.
When you hit the sections on failure analysis theory, it goes down hill. Seemed like the author rushed to get this thing published. Otherwise, solid book and great price.
